Porphyry

Robust, durable and frost-resistant
Our stable porphyry for indoor and outdoor use can do many things

Porphyry is a volcanic rock that is formed by the rapid cooling of magma on the earth's surface. The individual crystals in the structure of the stone make up its appearance - at the same time, this makes the natural stone particularly strong and robust.

The name porphyry stands for natural stone that is formed from igneous rock of volcanic origin. In most cases, feldspar and quartz first crystallize from liquid rock in the earth's crust and then cool quickly on the surface due to the outside temperature and solidify. At the same time, porphyry can also only form in the earth's interior, which often results in a fine-grained structure in the stone. Due to the different origins of the porphyries, they can be differentiated into quartz-poor and quartz-rich rocks.

Porphyry is millions of years old - in the past, the stones were used for artistic works and everyday objects - now, due to their properties, they are ideal for outdoor areas. Whether as paving slabs for terraces, work surfaces or tiles - porphyry impresses with its robust properties.

If you are interested in integrating these unique stones into your interior or exterior, we will be happy to advise you in an initial consultation.
