Polished tiles can withstand heavy use for a long time and are often used indoors due to their easy cleaning (e.g. for bathroom or kitchen floors). Simply clean your polished floor with water.
Fine-polished floor tiles are suitable for indoor floors and stairs as well as for patio floors in the garden. The slabs, which are sanded, are particularly popular because they convey a very pleasant, natural feel and are very easy to clean and hard-wearing - ideal for use on a patio.
Brushing creates a slightly rough, pleasantly matt surface on the stone, which is nevertheless soft to the touch. Slabs that have been brushed are often used as patio slabs. Thanks to their non-slip surfaces, these floor tiles are also suitable for rainy days. They are also very easy to maintain.

To ensure that your floor lasts for a long time, you should follow a few nature-specific instructions. It is best not to use acidic cleaners on limestone, as acid would otherwise dissolve the lime and damage the surface. We recommend using water for regular cleaning. However, if your tiles have stubborn stains, you can use a natural stone basic cleaner for gentle care. Sealers or impregnations are used to improve the stain resistance of natural stone.
The impregnation provides an invisible protective film against soiling. This means that stains have little to no chance of settling on the surface.
Fine alternatives to Jurassic limestone include porcelain stoneware or travertine. The natural stone travertine has a silky matt sheen and is characterized above all by natural colour gradients. Porcelain stoneware is also in high demand due to its ease of cleaning and is increasingly being used as indoor floor tiles or for outdoor areas (patio tiles).
