The variety of colors of granite tiles

Granite natural stone tiles are available in many different colors. Their variety of colors promises diverse design possibilities.

Black granite Depending on the surface treatment, black to deep black colorations are possible. Black granite stones used to be very common, but today they are less common, especially as floor tiles.
Brown granite Granite with a brown hue has a warm and friendly appearance. The tones range from light, creamy beige to a light yellow tone.

Blue or pink base tone
Granite with a blue or pink base tone gives the black-grey pepper-salt granite an elegant and harmonious look.

White or light-colored granite
Granite tiles with a white or light structure look particularly elegant and classy.

Care and cleaning of granite tiles

Basically, cleaning and maintaining granite tiles on a daily basis is child's play. The minimal water absorption of the tiles also makes care and cleaning easier. However, some factors should be taken into account when cleaning granite tiles.

The right care:
Coarse dirt such as sand, dust or crumbs can be easily swept off the granite tiles with soft brushes or brooms. In most cases, clear water is sufficient for damp cleaning of natural stone tiles. You are welcome to add neutral and alkaline cleaners for maintenance. Natural stone slabs and granite tiles can be impregnated to make cleaning them easier. The nano effect causes potential stain triggers such as oil, grease or juice to roll off. Due to the impregnation, the liquid cannot be absorbed into the stone and can be wiped off easily. The products for impregnation, care and cleaning do not affect the quality of the natural stone slabs and natural stone tiles.

The wrong care Not all cleaning agents are suitable for granite tiles. Strongly acidic and acidic cleaning agents can be problematic for certain types of granite. Grease-dissolving or highly abrasive agents can also damage granite tiles. Care products that leave behind residues or layers, such as wax, should be cannot be used on granite tiles either.

Dried-in stains or discoloration on granite tiles

Even if it sounds tempting and promises a quick solution - granite tiles should never be cleaned with a high-pressure cleaner. The hard jet of water can attack the surface of the stone and the vicious circle begins. The damaged surface makes it easier for dirt to accumulate and the tiles have to be cleaned again.

Even if granite is a very insensitive natural stone, discoloration or dried stains can occur in the stone.

Dried stains on natural stone should first be swept away with a broom and then rinsed off with clean water. In the case of particularly stubborn stains, natural stone basic cleaners can help with cleaning. When using a natural stone basic cleaner, it is essential to follow the manufacturer's instructions!
